Job summary

QBE Global LLC in Boyers, PA is seeking a Deskside Technician to handle escalated Tier II end-user computing issues for a DoD-driven program. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate onsite desk-side problems while deploying STIG-compliant images with MECM/SCCM.

The onsite role supports a government program with approximately 13,000 users and requires knowledge of Windows, AD, and security best practices. Up to 10% travel and TS/SCI eligibility are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years related experience (or equivalent).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI eligibility to start.
• Must possess and maintain a DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline cert (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
• Experience in desktop support, field service, or IT hardware repair.

Responsibilities

• Analyze escalated Tier II incidents involving desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers to determine root cause and resolution approach.
• Evaluate workstation configuration against enterprise baseline and STIG requirements and implement changes.
• Determine deployment approach for new/replacement workstations using STIG-compliant images and MECM/SCCM.
• Diagnose and resolve desk-side network connectivity issues and route to correct escalation group.
• Document resolutions and knowledge articles for reuse in the knowledge base.
