Job summary

Empower AI in Linthicum, MD seeks a Deskside Technician to analyze and resolve escalated Tier II end-user computing issues for a DoD-focused program. The role is onsite with up to 10% travel, supporting ~13,000 users across security enclaves under STIG controls.

Responsibilities include assessing hardware lifecycles, deploying STIG-compliant images via MECM/SCCM, and coordinating vendor service as the government liaison. Requires TS clearance eligibility and IAT Level I certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification required.
• Experience in desktop support and IT hardware repair.
• Strong Windows 10/11, AD, M365 knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at desks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze escalated Tier II incidents and determine resolution.
• Configure, image, and deploy STIG-compliant workstations.
• Diagnose network and printer issues; coordinate vendor service.
• Document resolutions for knowledge base.
• Support secure configuration and vulnerability remediation.
