Job summary

ActioNet is seeking a Tier 2 – Mid Desk Side IT Specialist in Washington, DC, to provide mid to senior IT support and administrative coordination for daily operations and projects. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with 3+ years of IT support/administrative experience, including government exposure.

The candidate will perform Tier 2 desk-side and remote support, OS and AD management, patching, imaging, and security policy compliance while coordinating with Tier 3 and other infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years in IT support/admin roles.
• 1+ year government agency experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and IT management tools (SCCM, Intune, AD). Familiar with Apple MACs and Dell/HP hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 desk side and remote end-user support.
• Install updates, perform hardware troubleshooting in high-demand environment.
• Diagnose Windows OS, AD, AVD, SCCM health issues and BitLocker recovery.
• Image systems, deploy patches, configure using SCCM and Intune.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Microsoft 365/AD.
• Collaborate with Tier 3 for escalation and advanced troubleshooting.
• Document tickets, resolutions, and activities in ServiceNow.
• Maintain project files and technical documentation.
• Monitor IT asset inventory and assist with procurement tracking.
• Ensure IT security policy compliance and handle sensitive materials.
