Job summary

ActioNet, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Data Center Operations / Desktop Engineer (Tier 2.5) to support data center operations and enterprise desktop environments.

This hands-on role requires troubleshooting, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, shift-based setting. You will act as Tier 2.5 escalation for the Deskside team, handle Windows and macOS endpoints, and collaborate with Tier 3 engineers.

Qualifications

• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Hands-on desktop, data center, or Tier 2/2.5 support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, OS, connectivity, and access.
• Experience with AD, GP, SCCM/MECM, Intune, ServiceNow, and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Act as Tier 2.5 escalation point for Deskside Support, troubleshooting and resolving issues before escalation to Tier 3.
• Provide Service Desk support for hardware, software, account, connectivity, access, and user support.
• Monitor data center systems using SolarWinds and respond to alerts and health checks.
• Perform routine data center operations, system checks, maintenance support, incident response.
• Support Windows and macOS endpoints, including hardware, applications, connectivity, and patching.
• Support SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Intune for deployment, patching, endpoint management, and compliance.
• Support and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, and operational documentation.
