Job summary

The Salvation Army in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a store associate to keep shelves stocked and organized, assist customers, and support management in pricing and merchandising to promote sales.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Retail and/or cash register experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills with ability to access payroll/timekeeping via a web-based system.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep shelves and clothing racks full and organized to promote sales.
• Assist management with pricing items as needed.
• Process merchandise efficiently following standards.
• Stock racks, shelves, counters and tables with merchandise daily.
• Learn and train on the processing system, including cash register use.
• Maintain a clean store environment, including shelves, counters and tables.
• Wrap and bag merchandise for customers when needed.
• Provide good customer service by being polite, prompt and courteous.
