The Salvation Army Honolulu Main Thrift Store is hiring an Assistant Store Manager on-site in Honolulu. You will work closely with the Store Manager to supervise daily operations, drive sales, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer and donor service.

This role requires prior retail management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced thrift store environment. Competitive hourly pay and on-site responsibilities are included.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience
• Must have understanding of basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must hold a valid Drivers license, be able to show proof of insurance and have access to a motor vehicle.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Aufgaben

• Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Assumes responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and profitability.
• Schedule Store Employees to ensure coverage and coordinate team meetings.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, training and directing the store team and coaching of employees.
