Job summary

The Salvation Army Seaside thrift store is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, sales, and donor relations. You will collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure excellent customer service, effective staffing, and adherence to ARC policies.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced retail environment. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of supervisory retail experience, a high school diploma, and a valid

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years retail management/supervisory experience.
Basic MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook) and valid driver’s license.
Pass background check (criminal history and sex offender registry).
Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

Assist Store Manager in day-to-day store operations including POS, inventory, and donations.
Cover store operations in Store Manager’s absence and manage payroll records.
Help monitor KPIs to drive store sales and profitability.
Supervise, train, and develop store staff; provide performance feedback.
Ensure safety, security of cash, inventory, and property; uphold ARC policies.
Coordinate weekly store meetings; may transfer to other stores as needed.
