Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the SF Geary Store. The role supports day-to-day operations, oversight of sales, inventory, and donation processing, and mentoring program participants under ARC Work Therapy Assignments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2 years of retail management experience, MS Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. A background check is required. This is a full-time, on-site position in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail management/supervisory experience (thrift preferred).
• Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid driver’s license, pass MVR, show proof of insurance, and have access to a vehicle.
• Must pass a background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role with the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations including opening/closing, POS operations, inventory management and donations.
• Assists in monitoring KPIs to drive sales and profitability as budgeted.
• Mentors Beneficiaries under ARC Work Therapy Assignments and coordinates with program staff.
• Supervises staff in the absence of the Store Manager and maintains payroll records.
