Job summary

Stantec seeks a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources group to lead multi-disciplinary teams on thermal generation projects. The role spans owner’s engineer and design services for simple and combined cycle plants, including repowering, across North America.

You’ll drive client satisfaction, manage risk, and contribute to business development while aligning with PM frameworks. Ideal candidates bring PE (preferred), 15+ years of power experience, and strong leadership skills to coordinate

Qualifications

• Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
• Expertise in project management including leadership, resources, scheduling, controls, reporting, and docs.
• Strong leader, collaborator, and communicator with team management experience.
• Experience with EPC, DBB, ECI delivery models across multiple offices/geographies.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline energy project services and BD/proposal activity.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies and problem solving across programs.
• Office-based with travel to US/Canada offices and client sites as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS 365 with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to energy teams and projects.
• Lead Energy projects/programs across North America.
• Support PM best practices and methodology aligned with PM frameworks.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients, and vendors.
• Ensure alignment and consistency of project execution across teams.
• Foster client satisfaction and mentor PM staff for excellence.
• Apply business discipline to monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify gaps and implement corrective actions with leadership.
• Lead or support proposals and assist in business development.
• Mentor junior staff and achieve annual utilization targets.
