Job summary

Marcus Theatres is hiring an Assistant Manager in Baton Rouge to lead daily theatre operations, drive guest service excellence, and coach team members in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures while ensuring compliance and safety.

Anticipated pay: $17 per hour, with opportunities to grow across Marcus properties. This role emphasizes training, inventory control, equipment operation, and contributing to sales initiatives

Qualifications

• Requires 18+ with supervisory experience in high-volume settings (theatre/hospitality).
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn new skills, tasks, and software to meet evolving industry demands.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily theatre operations including staffing, scheduling, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop associates while fostering a service-driven environment.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot projection and sound equipment, as well as POS and theatre systems.
• Support hiring processes, orientation, and ongoing associate development.
• Ensure compliance with policies, local laws, audit processes, and PCI regulations.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and drive positive service recovery.
• Analyze business trends to drive sales and optimize schedules.
