Job summary

Delgado Community College in New Orleans is seeking a Testing Center Coordinator to oversee the administration of adult basic education exams, placement tests, and other assessments both on and off campus. You will monitor examinees, score and enter results, and operate testing equipment to ensure accurate records.

• Administer adult basic education exams, placement exams, verification exams, academic assessments, vocational exams, certification exams and career assessments on and off campus; monitor examinees as they complete exams; score, record, and enter results into the student information database; operate scoring scanners and testing equipment; retrieve and distribute exam materials to faculty and divisions.
• Assist other testing staff in administering tests; prepare test sites; greet examinees and verify identification; check examinees in for appointments; assist in scheduling testing appointments and directing walk-ins; participate in training and continuing education.
• Maintain records and assist in maintaining testing web pages and e-registration; resolve examinee issues with urgency; secure all software and examination materials; reboot servers and reset exams as necessary.
• Participate in committees and work groups regarding testing; perform all other duties as assigned.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 50% Responsible for the administration of adult basic education exams, placement exams, verification exams, academic assessments, vocational exams, certification exams and career assessments on and off campus. Continuously monitors examinees as they complete exams. Scores, records, and enters exam and assessment results into student information database. Operates scoring scanners and special testing/examination equipment. Retrieves and distributes exam and exam materials to respective faculty and divisions.
• 30% Assists other testing staff in the administration of tests to examinees in the Testing Center. Prepares the test site for examinees. Greets examinees and verifies identification. Checks examinees in for appointments, assists in setting testing appointments and directing walk ins. Participates in training/retraining and continuing education programs as necessary.
• 15% Maintains records and assists in the maintenance of testing web page and e-registration. Resolves or reports examinee issues with urgency. Secures all computer software and examination materials in the test center at all times. Reboots computer servers and resets exams as necessary.
• 5% Participates in committees and work groups regarding testing. All other duties as assigned.
