Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Texas seeks a Test Engineer II–IV to sustain maintenance on test facilities and support upgrades for liquid propellant rocket testing. You will develop maintenance plans, perform root cause analysis, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with vendors and internal teams across sites.

This role demands hands-on maintenance experience, strong data review, and the ability to manage hardware reliability in a remote, high-desert environment at Launch Site One in Van Horn,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a test, propulsion, industrial, energy, or hardware-rich operating environment.
• Working knowledge of high-pressure, cryogenic, hydraulic, pneumatic, data acquisition, and electrical power systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering standards, technical requirements, and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to relocate to Van Horn, TX or travel 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Author work instructions to safely perform maintenance on test facility hardware, including disassembly, inspection, and assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
• Identify and define preventative maintenance for test facility hardware and support equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for permanent problem resolution.
• Support functional testing of components (valves, filters, regulators, etc.) using high-pressure pneumatics, cryogenics, or hydraulics.
• Coordinate with external vendors to support preventative maintenance and repair efforts.
