Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Test Engineer III to support a vertically integrated environmental test lab, including TVAC, vibrations, thermal, and EMI domains. You will lead test planning, negotiate requirements with stakeholders, and work with design, systems, and QA to ensure test readiness and data integrity.

You will also collaborate with technicians, support hardware integration, and drive continuous improvement of test processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years hardware testing of mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with environmental test standards such as GEVS/SMC-S-016 or equivalent aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute qualification and acceptance test programs for space hardware.
• Design and fabricate mechanical test fixtures and ground support equipment.
• Operate data acquisition systems and analyze test data to identify anomalies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external facilities to meet schedules.
• Support test readiness reviews and failure investigations.
