Job summary

North American Slate is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for the Midwest (IL/IN/MI/WI). The role is full-time and focuses on identifying prospects, building partnerships with contractors and architects, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

The position offers a base salary range of $65,000 to $100,000 per year, plus sales target-based bonuses and benefits such as Medical and Dental.

Qualifications

• Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel 50% within Midwest region.
• Proven sales success and ability to build lasting partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers and build lasting partnerships.
• Meet contractors, suppliers, and architects and negotiate pricing terms.
• Manage entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to close.
• Provide leadership with regular sales and project forecasts.
• Forecast and monitor pipeline to achieve targets.
• Manage leads in territory, send information and samples, coordinate logistics.
• Estimate, quote, and analyze costs to sell slate products competitively.
• Ongoing account management from lead generation to post-sale support.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree
Field of Study Preferred:Sales, Marketing, or a related field
Required Work Experience:Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related
