Job summary

North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, is seeking a Sales Representative to drive growth in the Southeast region. The role requires building partnerships with contractors, suppliers, and architects, and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction, with the willingness to travel up to 50% and reside in GA/NC/SC/VA/TN.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers and build lasting partnerships.
• Meet contractors, suppliers, and architects and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close.
• Provide regular reporting to leadership for sales and project oversight.
• Accurately forecast and monitor pipeline to reach sales targets.
• Manage leads in territory, send information/samples, coordinate logistics.
• Estimate, quote and analyze costs to sell slate products competitively.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing, and post-sale support.

We are seeking a Sales Representative with drive, new ideas, creativity and foresight to help us shape the future of North American Slate.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.

What we are looking for:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree

Field of Study Preferred:

Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Required Work Experience:

Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

No re-location offered.

What we provide:

• $65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
