Job summary

North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, seeks a driven Sales Representative to shape the future of North American slate. You will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close—and cultivate lasting partnerships with contractors, suppliers and architects.

Expect a base salary of 65,000 to 100,000 with bonus potential and benefits including medical and dental. Local candidates in GA/NC/SC/VA/TN preferred; travel may exceed 50% in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Three years of outside sales experience, preferably construction-related.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close.

Responsibilities

Join the sales team at North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, one of the leading international producers of premium quality slate roofing and products for the design of aesthetic living spaces.

We are seeking a Sales Representative with drive, new ideas, creativity and foresight to help us shape the future of North American Slate.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.

What we are looking for:

Required Work Experience:

Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

No re-location offered.

• $65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
