North American Slate seeks a driven Sales Representative to grow our Midwest footprint. You will identify new customers, meet contractors and architects, negotiate terms, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

Requires 3+ years outside sales experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and willingness to travel up to 50%. Midwest states IL, IN, MI, WI included. Base salary $65k–$100k with bonus opportunities.

We are seeking a Sales Representative with drive, new ideas, creativity and foresight to help us shape the future of North American Slate.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Field of Study Preferred: Sales, Marketing, or a related field
• Required Work Experience: Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

Midwestern Region territory comprises the following states: Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Michigan (MI), and Wisconsin (WI). Local candidates in these states preferred. No relocation offered.

What we provide:

• $65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
