North American Slate is seeking a Regional Sales Representative for slate roofing across the GA/NC/SC/TN/VA region. You will identify and prospect customers, meet contractors, suppliers and architects, and manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close.

With a minimum three years of outside sales experience (construction preferred), a bachelor’s degree, and a willingness to travel up to 50%, you will build lasting partnerships and deliver sales forecasts, while providing leadership

We are seeking a Sales Representative with drive, new ideas, creativity and foresight to help us shape the future of North American Slate.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree
Field of Study Preferred:Sales, Marketing, or a related field
Required Work Experience:Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

Travel Requirements: 50%

No re-location offered.

What we provide:

• $65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
