Job summary

Murco is seeking a Company Sales Representative in Houston, TX to grow a territory by expanding distributor, dealer, contractor, and builder accounts. You will spend significant time in the field visiting yards, job sites, and dealer locations, while building product and market expertise to inform leadership.

You will partner with inside sales and operations to ensure commitments are met and margins protected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years outside sales experience in building materials, construction products, or a related industrial B2B environment
• Hitting or exceeding quota track record
• Established relationships in the building products community

Responsibilities

• Own a territory book of business and grow distributor, dealer, contractor, and builder accounts
• Spend time in the field visiting yards, job sites, dealers, and prospect facilities
• Service existing accounts to meet and exceed expectations and expand share of wallet
• Build deep product and market expertise and feed market intelligence to leadership
• Partner with inside sales, customer service, and operations to deliver on commitments
• Manage pipeline and forecast territory performance in CRM and provide reports
• Represent Murco at regional trade shows and events
• Recommend adjustments to sales strategy and offerings based on feedback
• Protect and grow gross margin by selling on value
• Provide field input on marketing materials and collateral
