Job summary

Philip Morris International's Swedish Match (PMI U.S.) is seeking a Retail Team Manager to lead sales and execution across an assigned territory. This player-coach role combines team leadership with direct account management to drive retail sales, distribution, merchandising, and promotional execution.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in retail sales or related fields, strong leadership and analytical abilities, and proficiency with Salesforce and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in retail sales, wholesale grocery, route sales, or related fields.
• Proven leadership, coaching, planning, organizational, and team management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Salesforce, syndicated data, and sales analytics tools.
• Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve regional objectives.
• Manage assigned retail and wholesale accounts while executing strategic business plans.
• Drive product distribution, merchandising excellence, promotional execution, and product freshness standards.
• Analyze market, sales, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.
• Ensure effective routing, call coverage, and execution across the territory.
• Monitor business performance, communicate goals, and implement corrective strategies when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development and Key Account Managers.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development planning for team members.
• Maintain accurate reporting of retail and account metrics.
• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
