Job summary

SPI is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to expand territory sales and relationships with customers. You will use pre-call planning, CRM tools, and strategic sales plans to grow revenues and margins while delivering exemplary service to customers across a defined region.

Travel and overnight commitments are required as part of maintaining active customer coverage. You will engage in quoting, reporting, and collaboration with Customer Service, while planning activities and managing expenses

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as an outside sales representative selling business to business.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations within last 3 years on driving record.
• Overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Expand the territory by calling on new and existing customers to grow sales and margins.
• Develop strategic sales plans and forecasts for the territory.
• Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities in current and new product lines.
• Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and product/industry presentations to customers at all levels.
• Communicate order details to Customer Service and report weekly sales activities.
• Plan sales trips and manage expenses within budgets.
