J.H. Larson Company in Minnesota is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Albert Lea area. This role drives growth by building strong customer relationships, managing both new and existing accounts, and negotiating terms through the full sales cycle.

You will collaborate with inside sales, project managers, and vendors to meet monthly quotas while traveling the territory to uncover opportunities and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales experience in electrical or construction industry; knowledge of building and safety regulations.
• Experience selling to senior leadership, project managers, estimators, and buyers within commercial/residential contractors.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Project management skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Organized with good time management; able to multitask.
• Able to negotiate, handle objections and close deals.
• Able to develop new leads via cold calling, networking, referrals.
• Good math skills; basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and Lead Generation.
• Qualify leads; develop customer relationships and provide value-added service.
• Manage customer expectations; resolve issues to retain business.
• Negotiate and close sales; discuss terms with customers.
• Manage customer orders; oversee submittal, shipping, billing, and issues.
• Document sales activities in the CRM and maintain client data.
