Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the United States (Texas) to be the primary voice for our customers. You will use consultative sales skills to understand needs and convert prospects into loyal customers.

In this role, you will maximize revenue in a defined territory, maintain relationships with existing clients, and collaborate with other divisions to cross-sell services. A base salary with monthly commissions is offered, plus onboarding incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Three years of sales experience and a proven track record.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts, including competitor accounts.
• Collaborate with specialty division representatives to promote cross selling.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Utilize CRM tools to develop pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
• Other duties as needed.
