Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Sacramento is seeking an Outside Sales representative to manage end-to-end sales for an assigned territory.

You will lead the sales process, develop action plans by accounts and product lines, and work toward customer satisfaction and revenue growth. The role emphasizes product knowledge of drywall, insulation, metal studs, and tools, plus the ability to upsell, build long-term relationships, and deliver competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in building materials industry is advantageous.
• 3–5 years sales experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to self-manage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire sales process, preparing action plans by accounts and product line and actively searching for and following up on sales leads and new customers.
• Identify and execute on opportunities for upsell and cross-sell, establishing rapport with customers and building long-term, repeat relationships.
• Provide timely and accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, sales, and pricing. Gather competitive market and pricing information.
