Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based Medical Sales Representative to drive territory growth in the United States. You will position as a product specialist, present, educate, and support surgeons, OR staff, and hospital personnel on BD products to ensure correct usage and maximum value.

Responsibilities include on-site support during procedures, training physicians, maintaining product knowledge, meeting sales and profitability goals, developing new accounts, and providing post-convention reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience, medical sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Detailed understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license and meet auto safety standards.
• Ability to travel at least 60%, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Position self as a product specialist and educate on BD products for surgeons, OR staff, and hospital personnel.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures for accurate product use.
