Job summary

McHutchison, a subsidiary of Dümmen Orange, seeks a Sales Representative to grow sales and profitability for the assigned territory with the existing customer base while prospecting new customers. This role requires 5+ years in horticulture and a bachelor’s degree preferred, with strong MS Excel skills and ERP experience.

Travel to customers is expected to develop relationships, manage orders and participate in trialing programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the horticulture industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or related field preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• MS Business Central exposure highly desired
• Demonstrates passion for finding and developing new opportunities
• Driven by desire to achieve
• Leverages curiosity and creative thinking to address customer needs
• Demonstrates analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work non-traditional hours if needed

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profitability for the assigned customer list
• Generate new sales opportunities by prospecting new customers in your territory
• General management of accounts
• Travel to customers to develop sales, build relationships and service their needs
• Manage customer orders & programs
• Booking of orders
• Input of orders in our ERP
• Involvement in order changes & substitutions
• Develop, administer and follow up on trialing programs targeted to achieve sales objectives
• Attend Regional & National training opportunities for the McHutchison organization
