Job summary

Berkley Management Protection seeks a Territory Manager to drive growth in management liability within the assigned state/territory. You will coordinate resources with underwriting and work with AVP and regional leaders to grow agency relationships and distribution.

The role demands a strong marketing background, 60% travel, and the ability to develop and execute strategic plans with agents and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years insurance marketing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 60% within territory.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Grow the private company management liability lines of business in assigned territory.
• Work closely with the AVP to establish and implement a sales culture.
• Establish strong relationships with agents in driving mutually beneficial results through agency planning, production and growth.
• Manage distribution and negotiate agency appointment agreements.
• Monitor competitors’ offerings and emerging industry issues.
• Influence the region’s structure to capitalize on team strengths.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive underwriting and business strategies regionally and nationally.
