Job summary

GEICO seeks a field leadership role to manage agents within Greater Houston Metro, aligning local goals with national strategies. You will train agency staff, analyze performance data, and drive growth while ensuring adherence to GEICO policies.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or 5 years in sales/insurance, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel. This position supports in-person and virtual interactions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel in person as required and interact in virtual settings.
• Strong organization and priority-setting skills.
• Ability to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage agents within a designated area using in-person, virtual, phone and email channels to build relationships and monitor performance.
• Act as subject matter expert on GEICO and GEICO-affiliated products and tools while understanding competitor offerings.
• Translate national initiatives into local goals to increase agent engagement and growth.
• Deliver effective communications and assist agencies in developing local marketing plans using data-driven strategies.
• Monitor agent performance against goals, guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct training of agency staff on GEICO products and value proposition.
• Counsel agents and, with leadership support, take disciplinary actions including termination.
• Prospect, interview, and approve new appointments to expand GEICO’s agency distribution.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years sales or relevant insurance experience
