Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Territory Sales Manager in the Philadelphia area to grow agency relationships and increase profitable GEICO and affiliated products. The role requires travel within the Eastern PA territory (40%) and residency near Philadelphia, PA.

You will recruit and manage agents, deliver trainings, monitor performance, and translate national initiatives into local goals. The position emphasizes data-driven pre-call planning, strong communication, and SME knowledge of GEICO products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales or relevant insurance experience.
• Prior experience driving sales results.
• Experience with different lines of insurance (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health) is a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Strong organization and priority setting; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prospects, interviews, and approves new appointments to expand GEICO's agency distribution.
• Manages agents with in-person visits, virtual meetings, phone calls, and email to build relationships, deliver trainings, and manage agency performance.
• Implements policies and procedures of the agency program.
• Translates national initiatives into local goals and gains commitment for execution.
• Monitors agent performance and enforces accountability including disciplinary actions when needed.
• Delivers effective communications and assists agencies in developing local marketing plans to meet growth goals.
• Uses data analysis to prepare pre-call strategies focusing on opportunities within the area.
• Acts as subject matter expert on GEICO and GEICO-affiliated products, features, and tools.
