Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative in the Bloomington, IL region. You will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to customers, while managing the assigned territory and achieving sales goals.

You will pursue new customers, deepen existing relationships, and present strategies that highlight our products, services, and value. A strong emphasis on training, territory planning, and meeting customer needs is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new customers in assigned territory.
• Research industry trends impacting restaurants in territory.
• Identify and qualify prospective customers.
• Develop sales strategies highlighting products, services, values, and solutions.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and visit accounts regularly.
• Conduct business reviews to identify needs and growth opportunities.
• Provide ongoing training to customers on product offerings.
• Identify opportunities to add value through Gordon Food Service solutions.
