Job summary

Vestis, a leading provider of uniforms and workplace supplies in North America, is seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead a defined service territory. You will supervise route representatives, ensure service safety, and drive customer retention, renewals, and sales growth.

Based in the field, you will travel to customer sites, coach RSRs, coordinate accounts receivable, and collaborate with the general manager to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of service/route-based experience with a proven growth track record.
• Experience with P&L or contract-based service is a plus.
• Strong customer-facing experience and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sustain a safety culture.
• Coach and develop Route Sales Representatives in your territory.
• Report to Service Manager or Sr. Territory Manager; or General Manager.
• Foster a team selling culture through TIG and Shared Lead programs.
• Assist in new account installations as directed by Service Manager and/or General Manager.
• Manage day-to-day route customer service activities.
• Visit required customers quarterly to review growth and opportunities.
• Ensure timely responses to service requests by RSRs.
• Set clear expectations and lead by example.
• Travel ~60% with service pros to observe routes and meet customers.
• Follow up on at-risk accounts and secure renewals.
• Recruit, hire Route Sales staff.
• Hold weekly in-person reviews with RSRs to discuss trends and coaching.
• Deliver training to improve retention and service goals.
• Daily remote contact with RSRs to resolve pending items.
• Attend meetings and complete admin work to improve satisfaction.
• Coordinate AR collections and merchandise protection.
• Investigate incidents within 24 hours and report findings.
