Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions, the retail division of Nutrien, seeks an agricultural sales professional in Kansas. You will sell crop inputs and services, maintain territory programs, and strive to meet annual sales goals while monitoring competitive activity and product usage.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in agriculture, possess a valid driver’s license, and bring knowledge of ag chemicals. PCA/CCA credentials are assets; CA positions require PCA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an agriculturally based program.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry as well as the application of agricultural chemicals.
• PCA License is required (for CA positions) / CCA Certification a plus, member in good standing, or ability to test for credentials.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services.
• Maintain sales programs within assigned territory/accounts.
• Responsible for meeting annual sales goals.
• Monitor competitive activity and trends.
• Knowledge of product features, benefits, and use.
• Provide training to employees, as needed.
• Initiate trials that will support marketing efforts.
• Interpret soil, tissue, and water analysis.
• Research and respond to technical inquiries.
• Develop proprietary fertilizer formulations.
• Publish and distribute periodic summaries of agronomic observations and research.
• Maintain and build customer contacts.
