Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions, the retail division of Nutrien, seeks a Crop Consultant to drive sales and provide agronomic expertise across assigned territories in North America. You will support marketing efforts, interpret soil analyses, and develop fertilizer formulations while building strong customer relationships.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, licenses as noted, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full‑time position with potential travel and field work opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an agriculturally based program is required.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry and the application of agricultural chemicals.
• PCA License is required (for CA positions) / CCA Certification a plus, member in good standing, or ability to test for credentials.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services.
• Maintain sales programs within assigned territory/accounts.
• Responsible for meeting annual sales goals.
• Monitor competitive activity and trends.
• Knowledge of product features, benefits, and use.
• Provide training to employees, as needed.
• Initiate trials that will support marketing efforts.
• Interpret soil, tissue, and water analysis.
• Research and respond to technical inquiries.
• Develop proprietary fertilizer formulations.
• Publish and distribute periodic summaries of agronomic observations and research.
• Maintain and build customer contacts.
