Job summary

TenCate is seeking an Associate Business Development Manager in California (San Jose area) to drive revenue growth in synthetic turf and sports construction. You will prospect, qualify, and advance opportunities while managing a travel-heavy territory and building relationships with districts, municipalities, architects, and contractors.

You will collaborate with senior sales teams and cross-functional groups, develop territory plans, and maintain accurate CRM records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of sales or business development experience preferred; territory-based work is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to learn financial concepts and participate in ROI discussions.

Responsibilities

• Travel approximately 60% to 75% within the assigned California territory.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue prospective customers and projects in sports construction.
• Develop and execute territory-specific business development plans.
• Conduct sales calls, site visits, presentations, and client meetings with senior team members.
• Maintain CRM activity, track opportunities, and report weekly progress.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Estimating, Operations, and Sales Leadership.
• Represent TenCate at trade shows and client events; learn product lines and market trends.
