Job summary

Healthcare Recruiters International is seeking an Area Account Manager to drive sales of advanced surgical technology across an assigned territory. You will manage the full sales cycle, develop new business, expand existing accounts, and build strong relationships with surgeons, clinical teams, hospital leadership, and purchasing departments.

Qualifications

• Proven success in medical device, surgical, or hospital capital equipment sales.
• Experience selling into hospitals and working with surgeons.
• Neurosurgery, spine, ENT, surgical navigation, robotics, or OR technology experience preferred.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Comfortable managing complex and lengthy hospital sales cycles.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• BA/BS preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Sell a portfolio of surgical technology used across neurosurgery, spine, ENT, cranial and operating-room applications
• Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan
• Identify and pursue new hospital and surgical accounts
• Manage the complete sales process from presentation and evaluation through contract negotiation, installation, and post-sale support
• Build relationships with surgeons, OR leadership, administrators, and senior management
• Grow existing accounts through upgrades and cross-selling opportunities
• Maintain accurate account activity, forecasting, and pipeline information
• Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
