Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Account Manager to grow our corrugated packaging business across North Alabama, eastern Mississippi, and south Tennessee. You will own the territory, build a strong pipeline, and close new opportunities, with 50–75% travel and remote work when not traveling.

You will develop sales strategies, nurture customer relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience in packaging or related B2B markets.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% with a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build a robust pipeline through cold calling, prospecting, and leveraging your network.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the territory.
• Build and strengthen relationships with customers by understanding their business objectives and delivering value-creating solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experience and successful project execution.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer buying processes and decision-making dynamics.
• Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
• Demonstrate strong follow-through and ownership, consistently delivering on commitments and customer expectations.
• Stay informed on industry trends and share insights that help drive customer and business success.
