Job summary

Benihana Dallas is seeking skilled cooks to entertain guests with hibachi performances while preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced dining environment. You will train in our chef program and uphold strict food safety and presentation standards.

You’ll work with a team to ensure guest satisfaction, health compliance, and smooth service. This role includes growth opportunities and a supportive dining-community atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly as they arrive at the hibachi tables.
• Perform cooking show for assigned tables with engaging guest interaction.
• Provide guests with information about Benihana foods during cooking and upon inquiries.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Follow guest instructions and cooking preferences when applicable.
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking using kitchen equipment.
• Complete shift opening and closing duties including cleaning refrigeration units and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and teppan areas; report issues to MOD.
• Adhere to portioning, cooking methods, recipes, and presentation standards.
• Handle, store, label, and rotate foods following FIFO and health regulations.
• Use knives and utensils to portion, cut, and prepare food for the dining room.
