Benihana - Schaumburg seeks a Hibachi chef to entertain guests with a live cooking show and to prepare high-quality meals at the teppan grill. You will ensure portions meet standards and manage setup for service.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and welcomes within 15 minutes of their teppan order(s).
• Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction is appropriate and courteous.
• Reads guests for cooking preferences and responds to inquiries.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other food items for cooking.
• Maintains kitchen and teppan areas clean and sanitary.
