Job summary

Benihana in Irving, TX is hiring a hibachi chef to engage guests with entertaining cooking shows, ensure quality portions, and maintain a clean workstation. You will cook a variety of meats and vegetables at the teppan and create memorable dining experiences.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of the Benihana chef training program, and prior chef or cook experience is desirable. Training is provided and tips are eligible.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of teppan orders.
• Perform hibachi cooking show and engage guests appropriately.
• Explain menu items and answer guest questions during cooking.
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables on kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitized teppan and kitchen areas.
• Follow FIFO and portion standards for food handling.
