LSU New Orleans invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Teacher Education with expertise in elementary grades subject matter and/or pedagogy. The candidate should have a strong K12 teaching record and an emerging or established research program in teacher education.

The role includes teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, scholarly activity, and service to campus and community. Collaboration with the School of Education is expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in Teacher Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
• Evidence of successful K12 teaching experience.
• Active research agenda in a K12 education area.

Responsabilités

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in teacher education.
• Maintain productive scholarly activity in a K12 education area.
• Provide service to campus, community, and the profession.
• Supervise Resident Teachers in school placements and assist in curriculum/institutional effectiveness.
• Support recruitment, community outreach, and participate in university committees.
