Job summary

Sotheby’s in the United States is seeking Temporary Event Staff to support Luxury Week, a premier high jewelry and timepiece exhibition. You will be the first in-person contact for clients, help with language support, relay with specialists, and assist in translating and sharing high-level information about the exhibition.

Ideal candidates bring experience in client service, luxury, or hospitality, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a polished presence.

Qualifications

• Experience in client service, luxury, or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-service mindset.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment.
• Must be able to stand for the full shift.
• Prior experience in high jewelry/luxury timepieces is a plus.
• Adherence to professional dress code requirements.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for clients in person; assist Client Services with language support and relay with clients and specialists.
• Translate and share high-level information on the exhibition.
• Maintain careful handling and security of all items per protocols for high-value assets.
• Provide onsite support during dealer view and client-facing periods; ensure a polished client experience.
• Assist with inquiries and direct clients appropriately with internal teams.
• Assist with release of property to clients and dealers with accuracy and professionalism.
• Represent Sotheby’s brand standards in a luxury environment; maintain professional presence.
