Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking Temporary Event Staff to support Luxury Week, a premier high jewelry and timepiece exhibition. You will be the first point of contact for clients, provide on-site support, translate key information, and help ensure a seamless luxury client experience throughout the event.

Ideal candidates have experience in luxury or hospitality, excellent communication, and a professional demeanor. A strict dress code applies, and availability is required for both event periods in November

Qualifications

• Ability to create a premier client experience in any environment.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with a pleasant client service-oriented attitude.
• Proven experience in luxury, client service or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for clients in person and assist Client Services staff.
• Translate and share high-level information on the exhibition with clients and specialists.
• Maintain careful handling and security of all items, adhering to protocols for high-value assets.
• Provide onsite support to ensure a polished and seamless client experience during dealer view and client periods.
• Assist with inquiries and direct clients to the appropriate internal teams.
• Assist with the release of property to clients and dealers with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain a professional presence, representing Sotheby’s brand standards in a luxury environment.
• Follow dress code and security procedures, including background/credit checks and coordination with onsite security.
