Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking Temporary Event Staff to support Luxury Week. You will be the first client contact, providing language support and translating high-level information about the exhibition.

Maintain security and presentation of high-value pieces, while ensuring a polished, high-touch client experience. Ideal candidates will have experience in luxury or hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment.

Responsibilities

• You are the first point of contact for clients in person and assist Client Services staff with language support and translating high level information about the exhibition.
• Maintain careful handling and security of all items, adhering to protocols for high-value assets.
• Provide onsite support during dealer view and client-facing periods, ensuring a polished client experience.
• Partner with internal teams to address inquiries and direct clients appropriately.
• Assist with the release of property to clients and dealers with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain a professional presence and represent the Sotheby’s brand in a luxury environment.
• Adhere to security requirements and coordinate with onsite security teams.
• Follow the dress code and conduct guidelines for a luxury setting.
• Participate in pre-event training and comply with event procedures.
