Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking a Client Services/Exhibition staff member to deliver an outstanding in-person experience across front-of-house spaces at our New York galleries.

As a Brand Ambassador, you will liaise with clients and specialists, assist with check-in, guide visitors, manage flow, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality, often during weekends and evenings. This temporary assignment requires a warm, discreet, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Brand Ambassador for Sotheby’s, presenting a warm, hospitable experience.
• Support premier in-person experience across front-of-house spaces (Lobby Desk, Coat Check, Exhibition Floors).
• Direct visitor flow through check-in and queue management; monitor elevator access.
• Assist clients with inquiries using knowledge of schedules, departments, and staff.
• Coordinate with Specialists to meet client needs and facilitate bid registrations.
• Understand and communicate the auction process to clients.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
• Adhere to front-of-house attire requirements.
