Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a temporary assignment in downtown Chicago. The role supports benefits, payroll, HRIS, and leave administration within a collaborative HR team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Paylocity, ADP, UKG or Paycom, open enrollment, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. This 2–3 day onsite hybrid position offers health benefits and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Hands-on Paylocity, ADP, UKG, or Paycom experience covering HRIS, payroll, and benefits.
• Experience in benefits administration and open enrollment.
• Experience handling leave administration, payroll questions, and employee inquiries.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Benefits administration and open enrollment coordination.
• Process benefits elections and changes for new hires, terminations, and events.
• Maintain accurate benefits records and vendor communications.
• Payroll updates and employee inquiries handling.
• HRIS data maintenance in Paylocity and other systems.
• Leave administration support including FMLA.
• Reconcile benefits invoices and enrollments.
• Year-end HR initiatives support.
• Provide general HR support and respond to HR inbox.
