Job summary

COPE Health Solutions is seeking a Health Scholar Assistant to support the Health Scholar program operations at our Tacoma site in a temporary role. The position requires 20 hours per week for 16 weeks, with a part-time schedule and onsite responsibilities.

Responsibilities include recruitment support, enrollment tracking, file management, and coordination of training operations under the guidance of the Program Manager and Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Must commit 20 hours per week for two months (temporary position).
• Enrolled in or graduated from a college or university preferred.
• Enrolled in or graduated from the Health Scholar Program preferred.
• Strong customer drive and dedication to quality and success.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well independently.
• Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible with work hours, able to travel, and able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Present program overviews to classrooms on college campuses.
• Support recruitment efforts by attending job/major fairs, distributing flyers on campus, or facilitating open house events.
• Respond to applicant phone and email inquiries in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain trackers to ensure organization of enrollment processes.
• Prepare materials for orientation and interviews.
• Compose communication to applicants regarding their current status and next steps.
• Assist Leadership Team in ensuring that all applicants’ health records, background checks and drug screens are compliant with health system policies.
