Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Temp Royalty Analyst to support the Royalty Department during a systems transition in Los Angeles. You will prepare accurate manual royalty statements for licensors, artists, and content owners while aiding the transition to a new rights management system.

You will validate migrated deal terms and participant data, identify data requirements for a royalty calculation engine, and help improve processes through data validation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in royalty administration or royalty statement preparation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, PivotTables, XLOOKUPs, SUMIFS and data analysis.
• Experience reviewing contracts, licensing agreements, and royalty provisions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and detailed financial information.
• Comfortable learning new software, systems, and processes.
• Ability to balance manual statement work with systems and data validation tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely manual royalty statements for various agreements using Excel.
• Review royalties, licensing contracts and deal terms to reflect provisions.
• Validate migrated deal terms and participant data in the rights management system.
• Identify data fields and reports needed to support the royalty calculation engine.
• Analyze gaps between available data and calculation needs, escalating as needed.
• Assist testing by comparing system results with manually prepared statements.
• Collaborate with Business Affairs to clarify terms and requirements.
• Work with Accounting to confirm expenses and data extraction for reporting.
• Pull revenue reports and supporting data from financial and data workflow systems.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in statements, calculations, and data.
• Respond to inquiries with supporting documentation as needed.
• Assist with process documentation and system implementation and automation projects.
• Maintain high accuracy while managing multiple statements and deadlines.
