Job summary

Create Music Group seeks a Senior Manager, Royalty Accounting & Operations to own end-to-end royalty reconciliation and automation. You will unify payor statements, reconcile variances, and drive scalable ingestion across multiple sources.

The role partners with Finance, A&R, and Data Engineering, setting standards and KPIs for throughput and accuracy. You will lead royalty staff, define acceptance criteria for system changes, and push for process improvements within a fast-growing music

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, music business, or information systems or 5+ years music business experience.
• 4+ years in music royalty operations or royalty accounting with end-to-end statement experience.
• 2+ years of people management, or readiness to lead other managers.
• Direct, hands-on experience processing royalty statements at volume.

Responsibilities

• Own reconciliation across all revenue sources and resolve variances.
• Manage Royalties Manager and Royalties Administration Manager; set technical standards.
• Oversee ingestion of Letters of Direction end-to-end and ensure accuracy.
• Lead statement ingestion automation and workflow optimization.
• Define KPIs for ingestion throughput and backlog; report monthly to Director.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering/Analytics to move ingestion, matching, and reporting off spreadsheets.
• Partner with Finance on deal-level performance reporting and interpretation.
