Job summary

Open On Sunday is seeking a Royalty Analyst to manage initial statement review and performance trends across catalogs. You will work with the Senior Royalty Accountant and leadership on ongoing reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Core duties include downloading and organizing large royalty statements, reconciling against cash flow, and verifying compliance with APA terms and stakeholder agreements. This is a fully remote, salaried position with EST hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years in music royalty accounting or audit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of data analytics.
• Familiarity with Luminate and Chartmetric data for review purposes.
• Entertainment industry knowledge; must love music.
• Extremely detail-oriented to create accurate and timely reports.

Responsibilities

• Data Management: Download and organize large-scale royalty statements from record labels, publishers, and other stakeholder platform portals.
• Reconciliation: Combine, format, and summarize royalty reports to reconcile against cash flow.
• Compliance Review: Verify that earned royalties comply with the terms of the APA and stakeholder agreements (schedules, rates, shares, etc.).
• Royalty Recovery: Analyze data to identify any issues that cause underpayments and prepare claim schedules to present to stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing quarterly performance reports for each catalog to show how they are trending.
