GRID Alternatives is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Foundation Development Officer II for Southern California, a 3-month assignment (Sept–Nov 2026). The role focuses on major foundation partnerships, grant processes, and regional fundraising within a national HQ philanthropy team.

The candidate should have 3–5+ years of nonprofit fundraising, strong grant writing, and exceptional relationship management abilities, with a preference for California-based remote work.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional nonprofit fundraising or grantmaking experience.
• Strong grant writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-growing, team-based environment.
• Experience securing funding from foundations and managing relationships.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Regional Philanthropy and Regional Foundation Manager in efforts to raise funding from locally based philanthropic foundations
• Support team with reporting on existing grants, submitting funding applications, and prospect research
